Friday 29 April is Oxfam’s Dressed by the Kids day, with several celebrities getting behind the campaign and encouraging others to take part. On that day, Oxfam dares parents to put their kids in charge of their wardrobes.
Celebrities like Amanda Holden, Jason Donovan, Sara Cox, Jo Whiley, Jamelia and Stephen Mangam have already come out in support – by taking part in a photo shoot to encourage others to transform their looks in a bid to transform lives in poverty.
Speaking about the fun shoot, Amanda Holden said: “Today I look like I’ve stepped off the set of some mad 1980’s gameshow thanks to my two girls. It’s pretty daunting to think that this is how they wanted to me to look for Dressed by the Kids Day, but it was impossible to say no for such a wonderful cause and we’ve had such fun being involved.”
For those who want to join in the fun, you can sign up on the Oxfam website. From there, you will be assigned a unique text code to allow people to sponsor you quickly and easily.
