Fantastically great women who changed the world

‘Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World’ is a lovely book that will inspire and encourage young children to dream big.

Written and illustrated by the great great granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst’s husband’s uncle, the book is a celebration of some of the pioneering women who shaped the world in which we live today.

The book tells the life stories of 13 incredible women from history, including the artist Frida Kahlo, the diarist Anne Frank and civil rights campaigner Rosa Parks.

Each double spread is devoted to a different woman, and the illustrations complement the text beautifully.

Emmeline Pankhurst’s pages are presented in newspaper style, while Agent Fifi’s section reads like a case file.

“It’s important to me to spark the feeling that anything actually is possible if you put your mind to it,” Ms Pankhurst writes on her website.

“The great women in the book never set out to be ‘great’, they just followed their hearts and were up for an adventure … or three.”

Quotes from individuals and interesting facts add to the information and there is a varied selection of women contained in the book.

The final thought of the book asks the reader, “How will you change the World?”
