This stranger had the best response to a new mother breastfeeding in public

As any parent knows, eating out with kids can be a struggle.

And even more so when you are by yourself and your newborn needs a feed.

Earlier this week, Briar Lusia McQueen took her 8-week-old son Jaxon out for breakfast.

But just as her food arrived, Jaxon started to cry.

McQueen said she began breastfeeding and after several minutes an older woman walked up to her table.

Expecting the woman to criticise her for breastfeeding in public, the New Zealand mum said she felt scared.

“[I thought] she was gonna tell me to put my boob away,” wrote the new mum in a Facebook post.

“Instead she starts cutting up my breakfast for me and said, ‘what a good mama you are, we can’t have your food getting cold can we?'”.

McQueen said the act of kindness almost brought her to tears.

The touching story has clearly resonated with new mums, attracting more than 200,000 likes.
